The Tri-State Center for Community Action was proposed in the Fall of 2024 out of a sense that there was an opportunity and need for leaders and directors of the South Atlantic Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and the subject matter volunteers of our local churches to collaborate in planning and working toward a more effective and transformational community development thrust to help improve the holistic lives of people in the Tri-State region of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
After a series of consultative meetings, the Conference Administrative Committee (AdCom) voted in May 2025 to recommend the formation of the Center to the Conference Executive Committee. The Executive Committee voted to adopt the recommendation at its meeting on September 14, 2025.
See the governance page on this website for more information about how the work of the Center is administered.
